Dr. Benedict C. Ihekire is the Chairman, Board of directors of e-Barcs Microfinance Bank Ltd. He attended University of Benin and graduated with a B.Sc. Degree in Accounting. He later earned MBA (Accounting) from Anambra State University of Science & Technology and finally a Doctor of Banking & Finance (Honoris Causa) from University of Houdegbe, Benin Republic.

He has over twenty (20) years’ experiences in banking cutting across different Departments and Units in the banking industry. He rose to become Regional Managing Director/CEO, Francophone West Africa, Diamond Bank, S.A, Cotonou, Rep. of Benin, Managing Director/CEO, Diamond Bank, S.A, Cotonou, Rep. of Benin. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Senior Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

He has attended many Advanced Management and several other courses and certification programmes relating to Banking and other fields in America and other parts of the world. He is currently the Executive Chairman of Emerald F & B Co. Ltd. He was appointed as a Director/Chairman of Board of Directors of e-Barcs Microfinance Bank in 2018. He is married and is blessed with children.
